I have updated my job description template form that I use in working with clients. It is a simple job description form that makes it easy to define the requirements and expectations of a job.

 

Role clarification is a crucially important aspect of employee performance management and when used properly a job description is an essential tool for coaching and managing employees.

 

It is also a must for preparing a job posting for employee recruitment and promotion. I have a full article and video that walks through each component of completing the job description form along with an example.

 

In this updated form I have made it easier to fill in the criteria and also added a great online resource to consult for defining the job requirements.

Review your Goals for the Year with this Goal Planning Workbook

Have you reviewed your goals you set at the beginning of the year? If not, you may have forgotten what they were so now is a good time to do so, as we have just passed the halfway mark of the year. Take some time to review your goals.

 

Goal setting reviews should be done every quarter, so you can track your progress and adjust. Sometimes you need to ditch a goal and replace it or just focus on one or two.
